Can you help me learn the basics? [closed]
I have just become interested in scripting and need a way to get into it. After exploring this website I have found lots of complex commands that I have no idea about. I need help getting the basics and understanding how to make simple scripts before I can use the rest of this website. If anyone can help me get the basics, it would be very appreciated. Try [Absolute Beginner's Guide To Scripting] on the Roblox Wiki (http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php/Absolute_beginner's_guide_to_scripting)
I learned from Pig Head on youtube. Then I went to Friaza Hyuga who does intermediate vids. Then I just used some lualearners.org, and now I use the wiki.
Start with friaza first. Its alot faster. Also study properties/callbacks/functions ect. in your freetime.
When I started scripting, I began with the ROBLOX Absolute Beginner's Guide To Scripting as answered. Once I was done with that, I then looked up tutorials on YouTube. I learned the best from PigHead10's 31 part scripting tutorial, and a little bit of PeasFactory's tutorial in my early stage of scripting, and the went on to Friaza who is a bit more advanced.
