Studio Script Editor Extremely Laggy? [closed]

Asked by 4 years ago

Hi, when going into the script editor on studio to write a script or edit one my studio and especially the script editing window, becomes really really lag and gets worse by the second. I saw that users on Mac had this problem but i'm running Windows 10... I am thinking it is plugins but I don't know because I have never had this problem before. When this happens there is also no changes in my CPU. If anyone needs me to to attach more information let me know and if you could help even in the slightest bit that would be appreciated. Thanks!

It happens in on non-team create places aswell as team create places and when having a script editor window open it makes editing a script and the rest of studio impossible and/or unusable. BigChildren 77 — 4y

(This answer is not associated with Roblox).

Well on Windows 10 there is this pre-installed software called Task Manager.

In Task Manager you will see all background processes and apps running and how much CPU, Memory and Disk they are using. So it might not actually be studio that is lagging you but other apps/softwares.

You can find it by holding Ctrl+Alt+Delete or by just searching it in your search bar.

This may not help at all but at least try it. PrismaticFruits 842 — 4y

This isn't really a question for this forum but i'll try to help anyway.

1) Be sure to read up on devforum, someone might be having the same problem. 2) If not, report the bug on devforum. 3) Try restarting your computer, force quitting studio as well. 4) If the problem persists, try re-installing studio. 5) If this STILL persists, it *could* be a problem with the graphics engine you have on studio. Go to your settings and change the graphics engine. Most people run OpenGL, but I had a similar issue when I was running on Metal engine. This is unlikely to solve it though, my issue was pretty isolated. Plus, I'm on mac.

Goodluck.
