Ok, so I started scripting at the beginning of summer so I don't have that much experience so I have no idea how to do this. So basically let's say I have a little space jet that spews fire effects from the back/engine, right? Well, those fire effects roblox gives are pretty ugly and honestly, I've never seen good fire effects in roblox (yet). So, a space jet will have no gravity so this will make it easier as fire would have a more liquid feel. So my idea is that the engine will spawn and send a small object (preferably a sphere) away from the engine.
Ok, so where is where the more experienced scripters are really needed.
So, the sphere will be red, glow, and bounce around until it expires. If it was to come in contact with another sphere it would just pass through (with collision groups of course). But, if close enough (including passing through) the spheres should do a connection thing, where like red would appear between them, like when two drops of water get close enough they kinda form together. But just spawning a cylinder between them would be ugly. Also, the spheres still need to continue in their separate paths otherwise all the fire will clump together (too much like drops of water).
So, if you can understand what I'm trying to say, let's discuss how this could be built.
