How to edit an already published game? [closed]

Asked by 5 years ago

Stupid question I know but in my game half of the scripts will stop working if the datastore doesn't work. So I have to publish my game to keep working on it. Now my game is already published and I obviously can't work on the live version so what am I supposed to do? Make another copy of the project and make it private? Wouldn't that mess up the datastore/gamepasses? Or is there another way?

Usually people create copy of the project. But it will not save data. You can fix gamepasses, but not saved data. mishamol 0 — 5y

Can't you just publish it again to the same game? hiimgoodpack 2009 — 5y

Go to studio, my games or recent (both will work) and then click it. When you are finished updating click file -> publish to roblox. Publishing it will also shutdown all servers, just to be aware. ScriptsALot 91 — 5y

This isn't a scripting question. DeceptiveCaster 3761 — 5y

I know this probably isn't what the question is about, but:

!

Enable Studio Access to API Services

This will let you use DataStores while testing in Studio.

Configure the Game, not the place
