How can I render decals without bricks? [closed]

Asked by 5 years ago

Hello, So I'm making a procederally voxel game, and obviously I don't need all six sides for each block, but probably an average of only about 2-3. The problem with a brick, is that it has six sides, and I don't think I can choose specific ones to render, so I'd like to just use decals (with collision maks) instead. Is this even possible? Thanks.

I am unsure of your question as it is now. Decal has a property named, "Face," that allows yo to choose which face you set the decal as, "Top," "Right," "Bottom," "Left," "Front," "Back," forgive me if I'm mis understanding a bit. But you said, "I don't think I can choose specific ones to render," maybe add a bit more specifics? Dev_Unreal 136 — 5y
