How would I create a tool inventory system? - Read for more information. [closed]

I've tried to create a visual inventory for quite a few weeks now. My aim is to have a tool (A weapon or a ore,...) and I basically want to have it be removed from players backpack and added to the shelf in front with a billboard gui saying the Quantities, rarity,etc. Its quite a hard one to explain. My first attempt was to use a local script in starer gui with the clicker detected in a invisible part on the shelf with a remote event. Then I had a script in the event that was placed in workspace. I then used a TYPEOF function but I just can't. We need a visual one for the theme and style of this game we are working on.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

I want when the tool is put on shelf and removed from players backpack to no longer be a tool, a model if that makes sense - and to also take out the tool from the shelf and back into the players backpack.
