Making a SurfaceGUI Functional [closed]

Asked by

So, I can create SurfaceGUI's that are GUI's projected onto a brick/surface, as the name states. However, I don't understand how to make parts of the GUI clickable. I also can't do this on ScreenGUI, so it will help me with that aswell.

Thanks! Perlux.

You need to use the "TextButton" object. That'll make it clickable and functions can be called if you've got one of those.

SurfaceGUI and ScreenGUI are very similar, the only difference being one is in a player and the other is in a part. Learn how to do one, and you know how to do the other. I suggest checking out the wiki's beginner's GUI tutorial and the beginner's guide to GUI. Yes, they are two different pages.

When answering, if your answer does not fully solve the question, it should be written as a comment to the question instead of as an answer.

That is not a valid answer, you CANNOT simply write something that does not relate to ROBLOX as the content of your answer. How and what does magic have to do with what the poster is trying to portray and convey? JesseSong 3916 — 4y
