How to create lightning through scripting? [closed]

Upon using the "Stravant's Lighting" gear ROBLOX uploaded about a year ago I have always wanted to recreate the lightning used in his script. It sort of goes all over the place when using it, or at least while you're holding down left click. However I want to be able to make "powers" by clicking on a player's character and it shoots a single bolt of lightning, but you can see the lighting forming quickly piece by piece.

How would I be able to accomplish such a task? I'm assuming it is a bit difficult.
