How long time does it take to become a good scripter?

Asked by 4 years ago

I know this question will soon be taken down but, how long does it take to become a professional programmer?

I have asked this question a lot, but with no good answer.

What are your answers?

It depends on your age, capacity and determination. You can be 12 years old (higher learning capacity) but still not be good because ur not determined to script and become better. User#32819 0 — 4y

Your determination, effort, and time can dramatically affect the rate you learn and the time you become to be a good scripter, but scripting isn't an overnight thing. Geobloxia 251 — 4y

Huh. I've never actually thought about this question much. Personally, I think it takes a long time to become really good scripter. I'm assuming you don't want to include building in this. You certainly have to know what you're doing; not just get everything from YouTube tutorials. I think that your code has to be clean and effecient, not just a bushwhack messy way to code around a problem you don't know how to fix cleanly.

It would definitely take half a year to become decent at coding. Maybe you have a lot of time on your hands, and you have lots of time to learn all the ins and outs of scripting in only a month. Maybe you have a tutor. I don't know. But to be a good programmer, you have to try, try, try.

Hope this helped and happy coding!
