I know this question will soon be taken down but, how long does it take to become a professional programmer?
I have asked this question a lot, but with no good answer.
What are your answers?
Huh. I've never actually thought about this question much. Personally, I think it takes a long time to become really good scripter. I'm assuming you don't want to include building in this. You certainly have to know what you're doing; not just get everything from YouTube tutorials. I think that your code has to be clean and effecient, not just a bushwhack messy way to code around a problem you don't know how to fix cleanly.
It would definitely take half a year to become decent at coding. Maybe you have a lot of time on your hands, and you have lots of time to learn all the ins and outs of scripting in only a month. Maybe you have a tutor. I don't know. But to be a good programmer, you have to try, try, try.
Hope this helped and happy coding!
