What is a .lock file? Is it some kind of virus?
So yesterday I saved my roblox game as I would usually do, and it saved it as a roblox place file like normal, but today I look in my downloads and randomly this file appears and the ending parts are .rbxl.lock and it's type of file is a lock file. I'm not sure what this is and if I should delete it. Does anyone have a clue? Also, the officer hats in my game look like parts of them have been deleted, but the parts are still there. They are not transparent.

A .lock file tells an application not to use a resource until the resource is unlocked. I'm guessing the lock file locks the roblox place file, not sure why though
I thought that .lock file is a file that locks your place so that no other user can use it.. I am pretty sure... that if you would want to share that file you would have to delete the lock file on your pc to stop it locking the place... I'm not 100% sure on this, but I am guessing so..
