I really want to start in scripting really badly because this is kind of my passion but don t know where to start.Does anyone that is a scripter can tell me where they learned to script please?
Personally I learned and got better through experience. Like trying to make games like obby or minigames.
Every time I try to make these games, there will always be a problem that I have to find the solution to fix.
Eventually, well most of it. I would find a solution by searching or asking.
And if there is ever a time I encounter the same problem, I would know what to do without looking for help.
First of all, I don't know if this is a scripting question or not, but here I go.
My experiences, I learnt basics off PeasFactory or any Youtubers that go up from the basics to the complicated stuff you will need.. I'll link the channel below, if you'd like to check it out.
I do NOT recommend AlvinBlox for beginners as most of the content there is for Advanced (My experience, don't know how you feel.) Also I encourage you to look at the ROBLOX articles, they have lots of great wikis out there to support you on your Lua journey.
Best of luck.
Hi!
I learnt so much from youtube and the creators!
I would suggest AlvinBlox since he is great at scripting and he is easy to understand!
Find him here: AlvinBlox On YouTube
I mostly learned scripting by looking at open-source things. I then run the thing to see how every part of code works. It's good for learning new things and cool features of scripting. Coding is no more then English + Logic and looking at others code, helps you understand the logic part. Hope I explained it well.
There are many places to start scripting as a beginner. There are youtube channels I suggest you start with. Alvin Blox is a great resource to use while trying to learn.
Once you learn the basics, you may want to make a script, but a resource (Yt channels, Roblox dev) may not teach you how to do it. From there, I suggest you start searching it up online or on you tube channels that just focus on the area.
From there, try looking at different scripts. You can learn and understand what they do. I recommend making an game where you can just mess around add scripts for fun and pratice.
