Is there a way to disable certain Idle animations?

Hello I am a relative medium scripter and for my game I need to disable animations that a character might have. Although I have seen other games do this I can't find any tutorials or the correct page on roblox wiki on how to. Any tips, leads, or information that you can tell me will help me a lot.
