Is it possible to see a SurfaceGui through walls?

Asked by 10 years ago

Pretty much what the question is asking, is it possible to see SurfaceGui's through walls, just like you can see some BillboardGui's through walls? I was hoping on using this to make a thermal scope. Any suggestions?

Thermal scope huh? Interesting. But I don't believe there's a way to see a SurfaceGui Through walls... Unless you set certain Brick's Transparency to 0.001. You pretty much don't see a difference when you do that.

But as a result, SurfaceGuis can be seen through the Brick with a Transparency of 0.001. Same with SelectionBoxes!

This MIGHT bring lag though. I am not sure, since I haven't comfirmed.

Thanks! it worked! TurboFusion 1821 — 10y

Note that this could cause other rendering problems. ROBLOX deals with transparent things layered on top of each other very poorly BlueTaslem 18071 — 10y

Yeah, it starts to render incorrectly, but I think I can find a way around this TurboFusion 1821 — 10y
