Is it possible to see a SurfaceGui through walls?

Asked by 9 years ago

Pretty much what the question is asking, is it possible to see SurfaceGui's through walls, just like you can see some BillboardGui's through walls? I was hoping on using this to make a thermal scope. Any suggestions?

Thermal scope huh? Interesting. But I don't believe there's a way to see a SurfaceGui Through walls... Unless you set certain Brick's Transparency to 0.001. You pretty much don't see a difference when you do that.

But as a result, SurfaceGuis can be seen through the Brick with a Transparency of 0.001. Same with SelectionBoxes!

This MIGHT bring lag though. I am not sure, since I haven't comfirmed.

Thanks! it worked! TurboFusion 1821 — 9y

Note that this could cause other rendering problems. ROBLOX deals with transparent things layered on top of each other very poorly BlueTaslem 18071 — 9y

Yeah, it starts to render incorrectly, but I think I can find a way around this TurboFusion 1821 — 9y
