When I import obj/FBX files into roblox using blender. It doesn't change the mesh part at all. Fix?

Asked by 4 years ago

I'm using blender to make models, and when I import FBX or obj, none of them actually change the mesh, it stays as a brick and doesn't even give me a error.

you need to import the model directly from the game tab. Benbebop 1049 — 4y

I've answered this question before at this link

If that isn't the case, then humor me by trying this: Change the file name then instead of pressing the enter key to export from blender, try to manually point and click the export button with your mouse.

[EDIT] Why this worked: I have a sneaking suspicion that the tabbing sequence/focus is either buggy/flawed/not existent when it comes to the export button. That or there is some extra code behind pressing the enter key that the coder forgot to take back out.

Many more problems can exist when you just press the enter button rather than manually click the buttons. It's just a habit I've gotten into after designing those systems. It's nothing you did wrong, but rather a flaw in blender's code.
