Why are my tool scripts randomly erasing all of the script data?

Asked by 5 years ago

So when I came back from my break to develop more scripts, I checked the LocalScript inside of a tool. When I opened it,

Oh boy, was I in for a surprise

All the data inside of the LocalScript was gone! Just... Gone!

When I re-wrote the scripts and tested, it didn't work. This confused me, as I went ahead to check the scripts once again, only to find all my hard work deleted.

Help please!

(P.S, I can't put in a script here because my script data was deleted and I'm too lazy to re-write it, since it will disappear again.)

Were and are you using Team Create? If so, then that is why. Team Create has a long history of not saving changes NotedAPI 810 — 5y

If this is published, you can revert the game to a previous version. FYI this is off-topic too, however, I won't mark it as so. hiimgoodpack 2009 — 5y

Does the local script have anything to do with the disappearance of the code? Have you saved it properly? Check the output, look though the script and make sure it doesnt delete anything.

Yes, it was localscripts I was using. I only rely on the autosave to save my scripts. xWhiteHat has suggested that it may be because of team create. I use team create to make the game with my brother, so that may explain why. Sensei_Developer 298 — 5y
