A question about a visual thing, how they make this?

Asked by 10 years ago

Hello everyone, first, i dont speak english so maybe i dont explain this correctly but i'll try my best.

Ok, the problem i have here is this. You maybe know a lot of games that have a character/gun customization like COR5 by litozinnamon, apocalypse rising by Gusmanak, and maybe others games.

Ok, my question is simple:

How they make a customization menu without collide with other's customization menus from other players?

I mean, for example at apocalypse rising youre using the same BACKGROUND that everyone does, but you cant see other players. At cor5 youre using the same background to customize your gun that everybody does, but you cant see other guns.

PLS if someone know that is a function, a service i dont know but what i want to do is that at the same place in the same time i can "cuztomise" for example, a brick, while others do but without colliding with others.

Sorry if you dont understand i tried my best!

They probably use local parts. They are parts that cannot be seen by other players. To create a local part, have a local script create a regular part and then set its parent to the current camera or a message inside the player's character. More details about how they work are provided in the wiki article.
