Pathfinding NPC moving on designated time?

I've made a pathfinding NPC but I wanted to make it move when it's time for him to move.

Example: The player goes to a position and the NPC goes straight to him/her.

I tried making multiple scripting and watching tutorials but it doesn't succeed.
