Is there a way to have some players do classic chat and others bubble chat?
When looking at the chat module I realized it's server sided so if I were to set it to bubble chat when a player is in the game everyone would. How could I make this so people in a lobby can classic chat, and the players in the game bubble chat? Should I just make my own custom chat system?

Yes, but not without forking and modifying the chat system scripts unless the "game" is a separate place you teleport to, in which case it's just a matter of enabling it only for the game place. EmilyBendsSpace 1025 — 4y
