How to make character have a certain preset when in game?

Asked by 4 years ago

Like in Blox Hunt, the players don't have their custom avatar, its a pre-made preset, how could I do something like that in my own game?

What do you mean by **pre-made preset**? Trollapse 89 — 4y

Like, how you can choose what they are wearing, like how to override what they are wearing and make them wear something else? Sorry if its not very clear, I don't really know how to explain it very well. Paradoxical361 11 — 4y

Don't need any code for this.

ROBLOX allows you to create some presets such as your shirt or body parts. You can do this by going to the Home tab, clicking on Game Settings and then clicking on the Avatar option.

If you want to get more customized than that, you can create a model that you want your character to look like, rename that model to StarterPlayer and put that model into the the StarterPlayer

Should look something like this when you are done: https://developer.roblox.com/assets/5b5b57ba7eac3e673d5e5700/StarterPlayerTree.png

Players will now load as this character by default.
