How would i upload my meshpart?

Asked by 5 years ago

I created a mesh using Blender, exported it as a .fbx file, then tried uploading to roblox. It said that it is unable to publish the mesh because it has an inappropriate name, even though its name is "mountain." Any help?

I recently had the same problem. I believe it will not upload due to the ".fbx" in the end of the name, however, I dont know either. AndriusTheGreat 140 — 5y

You need to have the format into .obj so roblox will accept the file MichaelProductions01 15 — 5y

First of all, you need to make the mesh format into obj or else roblox won't accept the file mesh. You need to recreate the mesh "Mountain" that your having problems with, export it as an .obj file. Next, go to roblox studio, Hop onto workspace then click the plus icon, then choose "Meshpart" then go to it's properties then click the folder with an green arrow then find the mesh file obj that you just exported. then import it then it will work!

Format to .obj file. Make sure there's not a lot of "triangles". Make a texture file for your mesh. make a meshpart. tap the folder icon in the mesh id space. select your mesh in the files. done! Question: why did you post this on scriptinghelpers its not code
