Spectating script after a play dies?

Greetings, I am confused and have no idea where to start with this. I would like to make a spectating mode that runs after a player dies. This is not a request, i am simply asking if someone could head me in the right direction. Because are their specific API's or functions for this? Because I would like to know more about it and how I could use it.
