Pathfinding. what is it?

I currently have a dream game. and i need pathfinding to do it. I have no clue where to start. or what i can learn. could you give em a more proper lesson on pathfinding. the wikia isn't much help.

Actually roblox just released a service that makes Pathfinding really easy. Sorry if you already read this
