How to make a body force push the player?

This is kinda a strange question, but it's bugging me. I have a body force thats supposed to push the player to the side to create a wind effect. Simple enough. However when the player jumps it pushes them way faster. It's like they're stuck on the ground and the force can't push them properly. Anyone else had this issue? Should I be using body velocity or body position instead?

maybe it would help to push them slightly upward as well. i feel like itll seem more natural opposed to a very strict wind current from 1 direction. Spiritlotus 151 — 4y

I kinda forgot I asked this. I'm pretty sure the roblox engine causes players to stick to the ground. What I did was disabled jumping during that section so I could crank up the body force to wherever I wanted it. tygerupercut3 68 — 4y
