How do you create 2D Shockwaves In game?

Asked by 4 years ago

I was wondering how these shockwaves are created, I can't figure out how to do this. Are they meshes or particles?

Here is an example from blox piece: http://youtu.be/AsHyWxzgm7I?t=33

Those look like individual parts. Triangles can be made with 2 adjacent wedges. This type of effect would require a deep explanation, mostly of maths. pidgey 548 — 4y

If you are talking about the beams of light after the "Flame Emperor" hits, they are using the "Beam" instance I believe Despayr 505 — 4y
