How do you create 2D Shockwaves In game?

Asked by 3 months ago

I was wondering how these shockwaves are created, I can't figure out how to do this. Are they meshes or particles?

Here is an example from blox piece: http://youtu.be/AsHyWxzgm7I?t=33

Those look like individual parts. Triangles can be made with 2 adjacent wedges. This type of effect would require a deep explanation, mostly of maths. pidgey 538 — 3mo
