How to make a dialog bubble say something without clicking it?

Asked by 4 years ago

I don't have any code, I've tried a bunch of things. I'm a sort of new scripter, and I want to find out how to make the dialog bubble pop up on command. For example, I click a button, and a model or character says something without me having to click on a bubble. I've seen it in some games where it appears above the player who clicks the button. They will say something they didn't actually type. I don't really know how to phrase this well, but if you don't understand just ask me.

I want a dialog bubble, that you can insert into parts, to not have the little [?], and it just says what it needs to say then goes away. Just_Moop 27 — 4y

Just put in the dialog into a NPC head then put in a dialog choice. Pretty self explanatory from there.

Hopefully that's what you meant.

No, I figured it out. So you know, you set a parameter that automatically starts it from a certain distance. Just_Moop 27 — 4y
