Jump scares with models?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew how to make a jump scare that isn't just a decal popping up and shows a model popping up and essentially scaring the person. Or if you know how to make a model appear then disappear in a short amount of time that would be great.

Im new to Lua so I dont have an example
