Do Animations played locally get played to everyone else serverly?

I was watching alvinblox and he was putting fireserver on a animation I thought animation just played locally it was played in the server also am i wrong or am I right I dont understand why he would do fireserver on a animation

If a animation is played localy everyone on the server can see it.

Playing the animation from a local player (using a local script) plays the animation for the client, and no one else can see it besides the player. If the animation is played from the server, which is what seems to be happening in this case, then every player can see the animation.
