How to make a menu selections for first/third person or RTS view?
I am not going to lie I am brand new to this and i am very determined I have a bunch of tabs opened trying to learn how to do this stuff but my biggest issue is that is do not know where to start. I tried looking for a game to copy into my studio because that would be easiest for me to learn by dissecting another game.
What I am trying to make a menu so when you click one image button it will make it so that you play in First Person/third doesn't matter (pref if you can do both) and if you click the other it turns it into a RTS style of game play. They both need to be able to co-exist.
I figured starting with a menu would be good for the game that i want to make.

Creating a gui and it's layout is all graphic/UI designing and separate to scripting. You could start by making a basic "button" that when clicked puts the 3rd/1st PoV script into the character. xPolarium 1388 — 5y

The main focus should be on the PoV script (Which should be in a local script to make it easier with input) that changes when the player clicks on a key or how ever you want it. xPolarium 1388 — 5y

@xPolarium will that keep it locked for first person or RTS? I want a character to spawn for both but camera to be locked onto the character in first person and free roam camera with click commands in RTS style view. ungadabunga -5 — 5y

Like i want the game to be either you control 1 unit in first person/third person or have a leader that you protect with rts units. However, I already had one post flagged so I do not think this website is noob friendly so i am probably wasting your time. ungadabunga -5 — 5y
