is there a good way to learn lua?
If you're looking to learn lua, go straight to the official website.
If you want to learn Roblox's interpretation I would recommend watching some youtube videos or checking out the dev page.
I would recommend the official wiki
(http://wiki-origin.roblox.com/index.php?title=Main_Page)
And YouTube. Some YouTube videos are too old and won't work, but you can go on the wiki to figure that out. The official Roblox channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/roblox) is also very helpful (in some cases) again if you are unsure about something, like a piece of code being outdated, simply go to the wiki and figure it out, or ask anybody here on Scripting Helpers.
I hope this helped in some way, PeasFactory (A youtuber) also made scripting tutorials before he stopped uploading, and from what I can personally tell puts an error message in some videos if they are outdated.
I Hope this semi helped, any more questions, ask me or anybody else, we welcome you to the LUA scripting community, as you seem to be new.
