Why terrain loads faster then parts?

I know I need to make research and all those stuff, but I cant find anywhere why roblox's terrain loads faster then parts. i thought this may be because the terrain doesnt move , but still i may be wrong.

Because terrain is made up of voxels, which only have three properties: The position, the material, and whether it's there or not. Parts have a lot more properties it has to load. ee0w 458 — 5y

parts have, color, material, size, position, reflectance, transparency, velocity, rotvelocity, anchored, archivable, cancollide, collisiongorupid, locked, shape, cancastshadows (coming in future is bright update) and a lot of other stuff. LoganboyInCO 150 — 5y
