Checking if a sound is copyrighted?

Asked by 6 years ago

Hi, I'm a developer working on a game wich you have to guess a song to win, With roblox newest updates, Most of the songs get copyrighted, so I get new ones, 1 week later the same thing. Is there a way to skip a song when it's copyrighted? Thank you in advance.

No, I go to the library, I'm trying to check if they're copyrighted in a script, like a pcall. RafaelFixe1 108 — 6y

There's a way to skip a song when it's copyright. You can go and find the audio you are using in Roblox with YouTube or something. And download it into mp3. However if you have Audacity or something. You can go pitch it a little and upload it to roblox. cherrythetree 130 — 6y

Its not copyright if you say what the song is and who it's from. iWagen 5 — 6y

There's no way to check if it's copyrighted but you can use a pcall as mentioned for example to see if it successfully loaded or not and simply skip it if it didn't. gullet 471 — 6y

First read this: https://www.robloxdev.com/articles/Copyright-Guidance Second I have a few questions. If you have a good 3K+25K Robux then hire a Music Producer! If not then I still have a solution, download something like GarageBand and you could create your own song. I’ll tell you all Music is considered Copyrighted even yours! Nature Sounds would work but I don’t think people could name a Nature Sound.
