Why do people weld parts to create Pets?

Asked by 6 years ago

I see lots of people using weld scripts to weld all the parts in a model when creating a moving pet with body movers. But why not just union all those parts and then use the body movers to create the pet? So why do people Weld parts in a model to create a pet or moving model?

Because some pets are made with meshes and etc... AIphanium 124 — 6y

Unions offer less freedom though so its more convenient to not union in this case birdeater11 14 — 6y

because weld = it can move EnerKenji517 -3 — 6y

I mean sure, there are other ways to move a pet without welding them.. Such as spam changing the CFrame/Position of each part of the pet, or modeling the pet and using SetPrimaryPartCFrame, but it's often easier just to weld the pet (without using Anchored parts) and moving them so if you move one part of the pet, the rest moves with it. oilsauce 196 — 6y
