Any function for Setting a spawn point to a block?

Hello, I would like to set a spawn point to a block, but I do not know how. The reason I don’t simply use spawn points is because I am going to do a thing where the block checks if it is the current checkpoint. Also I would like to have a stage number system instead of a stage team system.
