Hiding and Revealing a GUI by pressing a button?

I've searched the whole wide internet for the answer and I can't seem to find anything that works. Basically I just need a script that will open a GUI that I made when you press a certain button(M). I've looked at many tutorials but they are all outdated. I'm really stumped and I'm not the most elite scripter myself so.. I need some help. much thank
