Roblox's default scripts changing the shape of my StarterCharacters head?

I've been trying to edit my StarterCharacters head shape/size/orientation but when I play the game their default scripts change the shape and size. Is there a way I can edit the scripts provided by Roblox? Or add a new one including all the necessary stuff? Thanks for the help, I'm sorry if it's obvious and I'm just stupid.
