Question about activating camrea shiftlock when tool is equipped?

I want to ask is it possible to activate shift lock when a tool is equipped.

I asked because I want to make a third person shooter, and I noticed how the shift lock is a perfect angle, so if it could activated when a tool is equipped that would be perfect, is this possible?
