One question on how to make smooth TV Transition?

Asked by 6 years ago

What I was thinking of doing was adding a TV in my game that is able to play videos but am unsure on how to do it. I don't want to lag the game or use a over made script but I also don't want the TV to come out looking very laggy. Is there another way to do this? (Im not requesting just need a link to learn how to do it)

You cant play a full out video on a roblox part sadly. But I once took a 7 imaged gif and took the frames of it and turned them all to decals on the create page. I then made a script on a part that was apart of my tv and made a script where it flipped between images quickly to make it somewhat smooth. barrettr500 53 — 6y

You can upload the frames of a gif in Roblox studio (which will auto publish it and make it a bit less tedious) and then simply change the decal fast to make it look smooth. Also it should not cause lag if they are decals. If it does some how then try just making them visible/invisible rather then what you did that made it lag.
