How do I change a player's model into a different model?

I'm trying to change the character's model to a different one but I don't know how. i tried out naming it, cloning, then moving to StarterPlayer and killing the Player but I don't want other people resetting and turning into the model that I've made. I also tried out deleting it but it was too fast for the player to respawn and get morphed.
