How would I make a self flying plane? Land/Takeoff only?

This is possible without scripting assuming you can use vehicleseats. You could attempt to make the model with wheels and a vehicleseat (Wheels should have a transparency property of 1, and the vehicleseat needs a throttle property of 1) and transparent tracks of either wedges or rotated normal bricks. You could also add tracks for in the air if you want transport.
