Is there a way to connect a previous part's location onto another location?

I'm trying to make a lightning spell where the user causes lightning to strike from their hand onto a desired spot where their mouse is.

I'm not asking for a script, I wanna know what I should use in order to be able to script it.

Is there a way to make it curve in it's path but end up where the user's mouse is pointing at the end of the spell?

I'd probably use trigonometry or bodypositions/bodyvelocities. Fifkee 2017 — 6y
