(Simple Question) How do I make my character not spawn when i pressed Play?

Hi guys, I know this is a simple question but is there a setting to turn off character spawning? I'm playing around with path finding and i want to drag parts around when i pressed play. I can't do that if my character is spawned right? Also, I don't really want to start local server as it crashes often.
