How to use Variables in Private Modules?

So i've been seening a lot of people steal my scripts, and so I want to create private modules. I mostly know the

script.Parent = game.StarterGui

kinda stuff. But I need to know how to use variables. I have tried looking on the wiki, but it doesn't seem to help. I've been told to look at tables, but very confused when looking at the wiki.

Just read the full: I'm not 100%, but I read that doing `script = nil` is supposed to prevent that I believe. TheeDeathCaster 2368 — 6y
