How would I script a combo for a fighting game?

I am working on a fighting game and would like to know how to go about scripting a combo. A script that basically says when a player activated a tool and clicks, the first punch is thrown and if clicked fast enough again, the second punch is thrown and so forth. And if after the punch is thrown and the player waits too long, it will go back to the first punch being thrown! You get me?

well i'm able to write a punching script completely, the only problem is chaining other hits together creating a combo attack. I am pretty inexperienced but im not a complete beginner. Any ideas maybe? A lead to the right direction? elzia3 0 — 6y
