What is the difference between a Weld and a ManualWeld?

I know this is probably a really stupid question, but here I go.

So is there any difference? According to the Wiki, they function exactly the same as Welds. I'm kinda at a standstill writing this... There is not much else to ask. I guess maybe this is why it's a dumb question...
