Is there any way I can morph a character from R15 to R6?

What I tried at first was clearing the children of an R15 character and then putting the children of an R6 character in it, but that didn't keep the character's accessories/clothes. Then I tried just replacing the limbs and torso, but that kills the character.

Please help.
