How to get my colored meshes into Studio? .OBJ & .MTL files

Asked by 6 years ago

Hello! How do I import my colored meshes I've created into Studio? I know how to add the .obj or .fbx file to studio, but it pops up as a solid grey image. I want it colorized. When I make the files in Blender and export them, I get the .obj and .mtl files. Then I can use FBX Converter to get the .FBX file, but that program doesn't recognize the .mtl files, so the model is still a solid grey.

What's the solution here? I know plenty of people are able to import in colored meshes. >.<

Most people just use decals or other stuff to apply to the mesh afterwards. You'll have to look into that to color different parts of the mesh. To color the mesh one solid color, if that's your problem, is the same as it typically is. But if you have something like the Camo Commando hat:

You'll actually see there's an image below that's applied to the mesh. So you'll have to figure that out.

You can actually apply textures to meshes. Aimarekin 345 — 6y

That is...unfortunate and incredibly time consuming for the amount of items I have ready to do. Is there no other way that involves avoiding UV Texturing? Never2Humble 90 — 6y
