How do I make a datastore or player saver for a Tycoon?

I am creating a tycoon game. I want to make so that when you walk into a tycoon, it automatically saves your progress. I have tried Saving Player Data (http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php?title=Saving_Player_Data) but I didn't understand where to put the final script. I didn't actually understand anything. 
If you are going to answer, can you please explain where to put the code. What would be amazingly helpful is the code I need.
