How do i get the rotation of a surface with raycasting?

Asked by 6 years ago

Okay so basically im trying to make it so whatever the raycasting hits, there is a surface gui or block with a decal on that goes onto the surface (Like Mei in overwatch) but I'm not sure how to get the correct rotation that the parts surface that has been hit has. Any suggestions or idea's?

I know this is the internet, but please do not use extra apostrophes. It takes more time and is incorrect anyways, so why do it? hiimgoodpack 2009 — 6y

Raycasting returns the surface frostysubatomiczero 51 — 6y

What exactly is your question? What "rotation" do you want? Raycasting returns the normal (the direction facing directly "outward" from the surface you hit) BlueTaslem 18071 — 6y
