Animation fails to load/Can't move?

Asked by 6 years ago

So, I know this probably isn't the best method for doing this however what I've done to play my animations is press "Edit" go into the character model and take the "Animate" script. After that I put it into StarterCharacterScripts and changed all of the walking/running animations to the one I made... if someone has a fix for this or a better method then please tell me ;-;

Also, I seem to be having this issue in my game where when you spawn you can't move but when I press F9 there are no errors (Besides failed to load animation) and it happens randomly. I can always move while editing my game though, just not when actually pressing "Play" If you have a solution for this probablem that would also be greatly appreciated

Did you happen to make the animation while there were other parts/scripts in your game? ROBLOX Studio warns you that the animation won't come out properly if you make it while there's a bunch of stuff in your game T0XN 276 — 6y

So if I re-export my animation after loading it on on a clean baseplate, would it work? Or would I have to completely remake it on a clean baseplate? jupiterd 2 — 6y

This is the way people do it (except they make their own script instead of taking the default roblox one, but it givves the same result). the only probem i can think of is that you did not name the script exacctly "Animate".
