How to make a NPC use Path finding?

So I'm trying to make a Zombie follow a player. But I wanted to have the Zombie use Pathfinding to get to the player. I was reading on the Wiki but I didn't really understand how to use it. Can anyone explain or show me an example on how to make a NPC use Pathfinding? Thanks in advance!
